Eating too many carrots can turn you...purple?

Before the 17th century, most of the worlds supply of carrots were not orange, but purple! The carrot has roots in Afghanistan and although the outside is purple, the interior remains orange. The orange carrot is said to be favorable because more children are likely to eat brightly colored vegetables than others.

Galactic Perspective

A galactic year, the time it takes for our solar system to make one revolution around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, is estimated to be around 225 to 250-million Earth-years. Relatively, taking the estimate of when our sun was created as year zero, oceans began to develop on earth after four galactic years and modern humans appeared after roughly 19.999 galactic years. Present day is considered to be about 20 galactic years.

This is because the shortest distance between the vertices of the triangle are the geodesics of the sphere, or in other words, the great circles that have the center of the sphere as their origin and pass through two of the triangles vertices. They are called geodesics because they are the lines of least curvature, or the curves that most closely represent a straight line on a curved surface. This is a result from elliptic geometry, a non-euclidean geometry.
